With the Navigon 6350 Live, the company is trying to add a third dimension to the consumer’s dashboard. The device features a Panorama View3D along with the City and Landmark View3D. The voice command functionality has been improved enabling a user to operate the device more conveniently. Navigon 6350 Live Satellite Navigator is pre-installed with the latest maps and points of interests. Along with accurate on-screen navigational direction, the device’s text-to-speech function is capable of announcing the names of the streets as they appear on the screen. The user can also control the unit with the help of voice commands thereby being able to concentrate on the road better and drive safely. Information regarding the various traffic congestions are announced on a real-time basis. In case of traffic jams, the unit is capable of computing an alternate route to the destination. On highways the lane assist feature guides the driver via the correct lane. It is loaded with the information about the various safety camera owing to which the unit can provide a user with timely speed alerts whilst notifying the driver about the legal speed limit of the region.
Navigon 6350 Live Hand-Held Satellite Navigator is capable of updating the user about the weather and also lets you do a Google search for local information. However the service is free only for the first three months, following which the user need to pay about 80euros annually or about 140euros for two years subscription. The Live services are apparently provided via a SIM card from T-Mobile. It sports a 4.3-inch touch screen monitor for displaying the navigational data. Additionally, the Bluetooth module allows hands-free calling. Furthermore, the satnav unit can be used in both pedestrian as well as automotive modes.
