NDrive Launches GPS App for Android Phones

NDrive GPS Navigation App, which has been available for iPhones is now available for Android Phones as well. This satellite navigation app will work on mobile phones that run on Android 1.5, 1.6 and 2.1 versions. Thus, popular mobile phones including Motorola Droid, T-Mobile G1, HTC Hero, HTC Magic and Samsung Galaxy i7500 Phones could employ it.

NDrive Android GPS Navigation App guarantees excellent routing facilities including extended routes with multiple destinations, three modes of routing and turn-by-turn voice directions. 3D mapping, search by categories, Points-of-interest database and radars are the other integrated features in it. It supports both ABC and QWERTY keyboard input as well.

This has been launched as a bold competitor to Google Maps Navigation. Google Maps Navigation’s need of a high speed data service and its better compatibility for US States will work as an asset to NDrive GPS Navigation App. NDrive uses the maps installed on your phone and there is no need of costly 3G data service.

Garmin GPSMAP 7212 Marine Navigator

Garmin GPSMAP 7212 employs Garmin’s G Motion technology. This enables it to re-draw, refresh and zoom maps at an incredible speed. Its compatibility with the remote control makes it more flexible. With a dimension of 33.7cm X 25.1cm X 14.9cm, this chart plotter is sleek and stylish. It is equipped with a 12 inches display of resolution 1024 X 768 pixels that provides a brilliant view of images. This GPS system is water proof as well.

Even though Garmin GPSMAP 7212 Waterproof Chart Plotter comes with the bluechart G2 Marine cartography of US including Alaska, Hawaii and Bahamas, more maps could be added via an SD card without the need of connecting to a PC. But the system comes with good connectivity features that aid users heavily. To start with, the video input and output connections in it enable you to connect live video feeds. An easy connection to your networks is the another asset. It provides a total system integration and users can share information with the other chart plotters in the boat. Users can even add support for radar, weather, sonar and more.

An addition of a Bluechart G2 Vision can enhance your navigator further. It can provide you with the 3D view of map information, satellite images, aerial photographs and more. Its auto guidance technology searches through the charts and create routes avoiding obstructions. However, this is optional. Overall, this rugged Garmin marine navigator is a reliable performer.
