Garmin GPSMAP 60 Sat Nav is an affordable satellite navigation device suitable for outdoors with with plenty of features. It is waterproof and robust with a dimension of 2.4 inches X 6.1 inches X 1.3 inches. It is handy, but the popped up head may provide you with an uncomfortable feeling, while you try to insert it in the pocket. The display is of resolution 160 X 240 pixels, with four level grey LCD.
There are base maps pre-installed in Garmin GPSMAP 60 and it guides you with prompt, turn-by-turn directions. It is a WAAS enabled GPS receiver. The available interfaces are USB and serial port and has 24MB of memory which enables you to save 500 waypoints, 50 routes and 20 tracks in it. It does not support any data card.
The Garmin GPSMAP 60 Handheld GPS has also some geocaching features, games, hunting and fishing times, clock etcetera. The 2AA battery of this GPS system offers about 28 hours on a single charge.
