Shirvan Valley (دره شیروان سبلان) is one of 11 wildlife habitats located in Sabalan mountains (کوه سبلان) area . It is located about 20 kilometers from city of Meshkinshahr (Meshkin Shahr) (مشكين شهر). Shirvan is 2200 meters above sea level, and covers 75 kilometers square. This valley is deep and wide, and enjoys spectacular scenery. There are also two 40-meter-waterfalls in the valley.

Sabalan is an inactive stratovolcano in Meshkinshahr, Ardabil province (استان اردبیل), in northwestern Iran. Sabalan is the third highest mountain in Iran and a permanent crater lake has formed at the summit. Sabalan has a ski resort and different tourist areas such as the Sarein (Sareyn) springs (spa) (چشمه‌های آب گرم سرعین). The mountain is known for its beautiful vistas, including the Shirvan gorge, where few climbers ever venture.

Ardebil is one of the Azeri inhabited provinces located in the North-West Iran and its center is Ardabil. It is in the north-west of the country, bordering the Republic of Azerbaijan and the provinces of East Azarbaijan (استان آذربایجان شرقی), Zanjan (زنجان), and Gilan (گیلان). Its center is the city of Ardabil.
