(Latitude: 37.75\u00b0N   37\u00b045\u20320\u2033N  &amp;  Longitude: 46.43\u00b0E   46\u00b026\u20320\u2033E).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.iranmap.com\/images\/cities\/Sahand.jpg\" alt=\"Iran - Sahand mountain\" width=\"445\" height=\"244\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Numerous lava domes dot the lower flanks of the volcano. Pleistocene Potassium-Argon dates from 1.2-0.8 million years ago have been obtained (Innocenti et al., 1982), but Karakhanian et al. (2002) stated that eruptions at Sahand continued into the Holocene.<br \/>\nThe highest peak is Kamal and approximately 17 peaks can be accounted for as being over 3,000 m. in height.
