The device\u2019s internal antenna is integrated with a SirfStar III GPS receiver. This portable sat nav comes with a built-in flash memory of 512MB, which can be increased using Memory Stick.<\/p>\n

The Sony Nv U83 Satellite Navigator comes pre-loaded with NAVTEQ maps of Republic of Ireland and United Kingdom and loads of POIs. Along with accurate route guidance, this unit also provides voice directions. Voice prompts can be provided in 18 European languages. Destination addresses can be searched using the postcode, suburb name or street name. You can also check the history of the device if you have travelled to that place before. In case you deviate from the original path, then the device can automatically re-route you back to the preplanned path. Its Dynamic Routing facility gives you information about the upcoming turns and junctions.<\/p>\n
