Shinco GM350s Satellite Navigator is well known for its slim design and a powerful technology support.
It has a height of 7.3cm, a width of 12cm and a thickness of 3cm and weighs about 180 grams. Shinco GM350s 3.5-inch Widescreen Satellite Navigator comes with a 3.5 inch widescreen touch-screen display.

It has an internal RAM memory as it also supports an SD memory card, which is inserted into the memory card slot provided. Shinco GM350s Satellite Navigator uses NavteQ Operating System, integrated with a GPS receiver. It has a USB slot and an in-built MP3 player with a 3.5mm jack for stereo.

A map key to go-to the map screen, Menu key to go-to the menu screen, zoom-in and zoom-out keys, volume adjustment key and a reset button are the other apparent input keys of this device.

Falk N150 Europe Satellite Navigator not only assists users with the routes and maps, but also comes with an in-built MP3 player. It measures about (W x D x H) 105 x 23 x 84 mm in dimensions and weighs about 155 grams. This satellite navigator comes with a 3.5-inch anti-reflection TFT LCD display.

This satellite navigator has an internal RAM memory of 64MB and 1GB Flash ROM memory along with an external memory slot compatible with SD/MMC memory cards. It uses Microsoft Windows CE 5.0 Core operating system. It is integrated with a 20-channel GPS receiver in its SiRF Star III chip. Falk N150 Europe Satellite Navigator has a mini USB port and an audio output, apart from an integrated loudspeaker. It also has an in-built MP3 player.

Falk N150 Europe Satellite Navigator boasts of pre-loaded detailed maps of Western European countries on a DVD, the software pre-installed in 6 languages. It provides 2D and 3D views of the maps. It has a City guide and multimedia travel information in text form, as well as pictorial form for major 34 European cities. Its Falk Navigator feature makes it easy to manage the information stored in it as well as upgrading this device. It comes with a content CD, which consists details of numerous POIs, maps, tours and cities, in six European languages.

Nokia introduced the Nokia 6260 slide, its first phone integrating GPS with the Series 40 software. This new phone includes a 5 Mpixel camera and Wi-Fi connectivity, it is expected to ship at the beginning of 2009 for an estimated retail price of €299, before taxes and subsidies.

“The Nokia 6260 slide brings GPS into the Series 40 software platform for the first time, really signifying navigation arriving in the mass market”, said a Nokia statement. Nokia Maps for series 40 was released a few months ago but until now a separate Bluetooth receiver was necessary to use of the turn by turn navigation feature.

Nokia also released a new software development kit (SDK) for this Series 40 6th Edition software. Among many other improvements, this SDK supports the Java-based location API (JSR-179) for navigation and location-aware services.

Blaupunkt Lucca 3.3 Satellite Navigator measures (W x H x D) 11.5 x 80 x 2.5cms in size, and weighs 190 grams. It has a 3.5-inch touch-screen in 4:3 format, with high contrast and anti-glare colour display properties.

It has a battery life of 3 hours in navigation mode. Blaupunkt Lucca 3.3 Satellite Navigator has an internal flash memory of 512MB and has also a memory card slot compatible with MMC and SD cards, upgradeable up-to 4GB. It is available with 2 Dual Core Technology. This satellite navigator has an SD/MMC card reader, using which users can play back MP3/WMA music files and view JPEG, BMP and GIF pictures. This facility also helps the users in uploading additional country maps into the device.
