Persian Arts Showcases in Beijing
China is hosting an exhibition of Iranian arts and culture, featuring unique works of art and manuscripts in the capital city of Beijing.
The event displays various art forms such as marquetry, engraving and Cauteragraphy (creating patterns on wood through cauterizing) along with ancient manuscripts from Iran National Library.
“Iran maintains a high artistic status and Iranian artists create exquisite and unique art works,” said Chinese Deputy Culture Minister, Zhao Weisui, who visited the weeklong exhibition.
Zhao, who has visited Iran twice, expressed his admiration for Iranian art saying, “The displayed items present ancient and Quranic art forms, and present Iran+s developments in different historical eras.”
The exhibition, which has been held at the National Library of China, has been warmly received by Chinese art lovers.
