US Art Center to Screen Iranian Films

The Walker Art Center is due to screen five narrative and documentary films by aspiring Iranian filmmakers in Minneapolis, US.

Views from Iran will screen Manijeh Hekmat’s Three Women (March 11), Pouria Azarbaijani’s Unfinished Stories (April 1), Abdolreza Kahani’s Over There (April 8), Mahnaz Afzali’s Red Card (March 25) and Mohammad Shirvani’s 7 Blind Women Filmmakers (March 18).

Three Women and 7 Blind Women Filmmakers will also participate in the 16th Women with Vision Film Festival, which will be held from March 6 to 21, 2009.

The Iran-sponsored Snow directed by Bosnian filmmaker Aida Begic will also be screened at the festival, along with films from Nepalese, Korean, French, Dutch, and Israeli filmmakers.
